In some ancient cultures, it is believed that the crow is the carrier of the soul to the Afterlife. In this nail-biting production, your performers will embody the soul sucking spirit of these crows as they soar into the afterlife.

Featuring a dark soundtrack with detailed and high quality sound design, this show is packed with cool music and moments. Follow our straightforward story line, or get inspired by the music to create an entirely unique show. Some moments from our storyline include a character journeying to the Afterworld, getting caught by the crows, getting dragged to their final resting place, and their soul being removed from their physical form… In the highly energetic final chapter, the audience discovers that the cycle of the Afterlife continues on once again as the flock finds its next victim. Talk about general effect!

“The Bird and the Worm” was originally commissioned for Perkiomen Valley HS (Collegeville, PA) for the winter of 2018 and was an Bronze Medalists at Mid Atlantic Percussion Society Finalist.

Using an entirely different storyline, this show was also co-commissioned for Great Oak HS (Temecula, CA) for the winter of 2018 and was a Silver Medalists in SCPA Open Class. Watch their unique take that demonstrates the flexibility of this show here.
