It’s 1986 at Valley High’s annual fall dance. The bleachers are lined with streamers, the punch is flowing, and the DJ is gearing up to crown the Harvest King and Queen. But under the glow of the harvest moon, the veil between the living and the dead grows dangerously thin.

As the dance unfolds, students find themselves overtaken by restless spirits, drawn back for one final night. The innocent slow-dance suddenly twists into a supernatural party, and by midnight, the ghosts must find their lost soulmates — or be doomed to eternal loneliness.

A mashup of John Hughes teen-movie tropes and Vincent Price-style horror narration, this show blends humor, nostalgia, and just the right amount of spooky to keep audiences hooked from first note to last. With iconic hits like Forever Young, Dead Man’s Party, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, A Night to Remember delivers a theatrical punch full of 1980s fun, spine-tingling atmosphere, and a finale guaranteed to bring the crowd to its feet.

Vocal Samples for “Total Eclipse of the Heart” and “Dead Man’s Party” will not be delivered. It is there to demonstrate intent. Rerecording new vocals with a new singer(s) is an extra fee.

“A Night To Remember” was originally commissioned for Great Oak HS (Temecula, CA) for the winter of 2025 and received the Silver Medal in SCPA Open Class and was a WGI Open Class finalist.
