Description
History and societies do not crawl. They make jumps.
“A Rare Bird Upon This Earth” pays homage to Nassim Nicholas Taleb’s work on Black Swan events, those rare and unpredictable moments that reshape the world in an instant. The production unfolds as a transformation, beginning in the purity and innocence of the white swan before shifting toward the dark inevitability of the black swan.
It is a show of contrasts, where order dissolves into chaos; where clarity gives way to uncertainty.
Both striking and open to interpretation, it offers performers and audiences a journey shaped by the unexpected.
Note: This show features a wireless violin player who is a key figure in the shows development.
Originally commissioned for Arcadia High School in 2025, making PSW finals at WGI World Championships.
