Description

This show will take your performers and your audience on a journey into the fun and crazy times of the wild west.  The first production has your performers riding into the new frontier and taking in the beauty of the western sky, giving all of your performers a chance to showcase what they can do.  Next we go from daytime to nighttime for the ballad with an arrangement that plays with the melody from Shenandoah.  The final production is packed with GE moments to make sure the show ends with lots of excitement and energy.  It starts out with some ragtime piano to set the stage for a saloon brawl and gun fight, complete with gun shots and a comedic bullet ricochet moment.  The show ends with high energy music and caps it off with a nod to the railroad that connected the old west to the rest of the nation.  This show is sure to be fun to perform for your students and a crowd pleaser for the audience.

“A Town on the Western Frontier” was originally commissioned for Chaparral High School Platinum Sound & Emerald Guard (Temecula, CA) for the fall of 2015.
