Description
“We know a place where the air and light sing.”
This production showcases the place where the clouds dance. Based off a commercial, this show explores the many characters of what clouds represent to us. From the majesty of what shapes and colors they hold to the beauty and simplicity of what they are.
Musical opportunities include soloists, duets, and small groups ranging from flute, mellophone, baritone, saxophones, bass clarinet and even violin. Violin is recommended, but if not available, it can be substituted. Contact us with any questions you have.
Visual influences are endless. Watching the video below you can see backdrops and a front tarp to help stage moments of soloists, guard, and percussion…and eventually, the entire band. May the music guide your ensemble to the clouds and beyond with unlimited ideas!
“Where the Clouds Dance” was commissioned for La Quinta High School for their 2017 Marching Band Season where they won 3rd place in 3A Division. It was their first ever appearance in WBA State Championships.
Note: This show includes an arrangement of “Cloud Atlas End Title” from the Cloud Atlas Movie Soundtrack. Additional licensing and associated fees will apply but we’ll handle acquiring the licensing for you. Contact us with any questions.
