Eric Shriver

Eric Shriver is a percussion educator and battery/visual designer based in Southern California.

He currently serves as the Percussion Director and Battery Designer at Etiwanda High School and Rancho Cucamonga High School, as well as with POW Percussion.

Eric actively writes and designs visual programs for several indoor percussion ensembles and has openings in his schedule for a few additional clients.

Steven Estudillo

Steven Estudillo was born and raised in Southern California. He is a graduate of La Mirada High School and studied at California State University, Fullerton. As a performer, Steven was a member of Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps and later performed with The Cavaliers, aging out in 2008.

Steven has been a visual designer, educator, creative director, and adjudicator since 2006. His work has been featured across Bands of America, Winter Guard International, and Drum Corps International circuits.

After aging out in 2008, he began his career as an instructor and designer within the drum corps activity—first with Pacific Crest as a visual instructor (2009), then as visual designer (2010–2012). After a brief hiatus, he returned as visual designer and creative director from 2015–2021.

He also spent six seasons with The Cavaliers (2009–2015), serving as visual caption head beginning in 2011.

Since 2022, Steven has served as visual designer and visual director at Phantom Regiment.

During the winter seasons, he designs and teaches for Pulse Percussion (since 2012) and Chino Hills High School, while continuing to create for other award-winning indoor percussion ensembles across the country.

Internationally, Steven has collaborated with ensembles in South America, Japan, and Canada, providing design, consultations, and clinics to further the marching arts worldwide.

Noe Gomez

Noe Gomez is a lifelong resident of Los Angeles, California, and a prolific educator and designer within the marching arts. He has over seven years of performance experience, including Impulse, Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, and half a decade with the Santa Clara Vanguard, where he served as Drum Major from 2012 to 2015.

Noe is immersed in the upper echelons of the marching arts as a full-time visual designer, judge, and clinician for both high school bands and independent programs. He served on the visual staff and as Assistant Visual Caption Head of the Santa Clara Vanguard, and is currently on the design team at Pulse Percussion, POW Percussion, Gold Indoor Percussion, and Arcadia High School, among others.

He is the Visual Caption Manager at Arcadia High School and Visual Design Assistant for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Noe also serves as an advisor to the Color Guard Alliance of the Philippines and Impulso Marching Latino America.

As a designer, Noe prides himself on creating cohesive visual packages—musically reflective, exciting, achievable, and fresh. He is passionate about cultivating a musical landscape that allows performers to sound their best while integrating visuals that highlight the color guard effectively. Professionalism and communication remain at the core of his work with all programs.

Akira Torrijos

Akira Torrijos is a Southern California–based Visual Designer whose work has made an impact across DCI, WGI, SCPA, and marching band circuits nationwide. With a sharp creative eye and a deep understanding of the marching arts, Akira’s designs are known for their pacing, clarity, and ability to make every moment on the field or floor feel intentional and elevated.

His visual programs have earned first-place finishes at multiple circuit championships, including SCPA, CSBC, and US Bands. Akira’s approach blends artistry and precision—crafting visual packages that are not only clean and effective but also emotionally engaging and unforgettable.

Currently, Akira designs for several award-winning ensembles, including Pacifica High School, Los Alamitos High School, Woodbridge High School, and the Golden Empire Drum and Bugle Corps. His work consistently helps groups reach new competitive heights while developing stronger visual identity and performer confidence.

Richie Sebastian

Richie Sebastian has been a dedicated member of the Southern California marching arts community for over 20 years, contributing as an educator, director, board member, and designer.

Throughout his career, Richie has worked with award-winning groups including La Quinta High School, Temple City High School, Meraki Percussion, and Pulse Percussion. His expertise as a designer is rooted in a collaborative approach that emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and open communication—ensuring that every voice is heard and respected throughout the creative process.

Richie’s background as a former Director of Instrumental Music provides him with a unique perspective that shapes his work. His designs are crafted to be achievable, engaging, and appropriate for the performers, always with a focus on enhancing the overall visual impact. Drawing from his extensive experience, his modern and dynamic designs are fully coordinated to create captivating visual packages that meet the performers’ needs.

Richie Sebastian Designs

Chris Cowling

Chris Cowling is a full-time visual designer and educator based in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He has built a reputation for delivering powerful, innovative visual designs that bring music and movement together with clarity and impact.

Chris designs for elite ensembles across the United States, including programs in California, Texas, Iowa, Mississippi, Florida, Washington, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. His work is recognized for its attention to detail, strong coordination between musical and visual elements, and a clear sense of pacing and effect.

A proud alum of Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps (2001–2005), Chris went on to serve as Visual Caption Manager (2010–2012) after previously teaching as a Visual Tech (2007–2009). He later joined the Santa Clara Vanguard visual staff from 2016–2021, contributing to one of the most respected design teams in the activity.

In the winter season, Chris has played a key role in the success of Pulse Percussion, serving on the Board of Directors (2014–2016) and as a member of the Visual Staff (2017–2022, 2025–present). His work has helped elevate Pulse to the forefront of the indoor percussion world.

Since 2023, Chris has been part of the visual team at Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, bringing his creativity, professionalism, and depth of experience to one of the activity’s most iconic programs.
